At the corner of Bank Street and Riverside Drive, very near to Billings Bridge Shopping Centre, there is an existing vehicle service station that is proposed to be demolished. A 16 storey mixed-use building is proposed for development. It would contain 100 dwelling units and 97.5 m2 of retail at the ground floor.
Due to the geotechnical constraints, three levels of parking are within the building, at and above-grade, and two levels are below grade.
Lloyd Phillips & Associates Ltd., was retained by Cassone Construction to assist with the proposed Site Plan Application and Minor Variance Applications required for the project. We have worked with the team and City of Ottawa to discuss all concerns and constraints for the site, and have ultimately decided on a final site plan.
A meeting with the Urban Design Review Panel has already taken place, and some changes resulted from comments received from the UDRP process.
Status: Site Plan Control has been submitted.
